A Riot of Colour at School

Chalk Walk for National Day of Action Against Bullying
Class 3/4AT and their 'Chalk Walk' contribution

Today was an absolutely wonderful day at school, full of colour and good energy.  Thanks to the families who made our day extra special by putting in the effort this morning to turn out some amazingly crazy hair creations!  Together we raised over $300 for the Leukaemia Foundation's 'Shave for a Cure'.

To add to the colour today, our ‘Take a Stand Together’ activity for the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence was coordinated by The Arts teacher, Ms Radunz.  Each class designed an artwork to be created in chalk on the walkways around school, to spread positive messages of kindness.

Children have been given a handy little wallet card from the ‘Bullying No Way’ initiative to bring home for Mums and Dads.  It has tips for parents to help your child, and info on some free apps.  If you don’t get your little card, head to
1.       Listen calmly and get the full story.
2.       Reassure your child that they are not to blame.
3.       Ask your child what they want to do about it and how you can help.
4.       Visit to find some strategies.
5.       Contact the school.
6.       Check in regularly with your child.
