Mrs Lucy Andersen, our strings instrumental teacher, invited parents in for afternoon tea and the opportunity to see and hear how their students were progressing in their strings lessons.

Parents were treated to performances from our very beginner students (who have only been learning for a couple of weeks and very proudly played their pizzicato D string), right through to our senior ensemble who are sounding terrific already so early in the year.

The session was an interactive one, where Mrs Andersen had parents practise correct bow-hold with the help of a pencil - it's not as easy as it looks.

It was a great afternoon, and very informative for our parents, helping them to be able to help their students with music practise.
