In 2024, Stanthorpe State School proudly celebrates its 150th anniversary—its sesquicentennial! We are excited to commemorate this significant milestone with a series of special events and invite past and present students, as well as the community, to join us in the celebrations.

Event Details
Date: 7th September 2024
Open Day:
- Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Description: Join us for a day packed with activities and events at the school. Explore various themed exhibits representing different historical periods, engage in interactive activities, and enjoy guided tours. Gates open at 9:00 AM and close at 3:00 PM.
Evening Celebration:
- Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Description: Celebrate 150 years of educational excellence with an evening of drinks and canapés at the International Club in Stanthorpe. Reconnect with old friends and colleagues, enjoy live music, and take part in our lucky door prize draw. Your ticket includes one complimentary drink upon arrival.

- School History Book: An extensive account of the school’s journey from its early days to the present.

School Song Launch
Our new school song, “Strive for Higher Things,” was launched in Term 4 of 2023. Thanks to a grant from the Southern Downs Regional Council, we were able to produce a music video featuring singer-songwriter Josh Arnold. Watch the video here.
