Prep

​​​The ‘Prep’ Year is the first year of formal schooling and prepares the students in terms of literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional readiness for further learning. In order to qualify for Prep, students must be 5 years of age by the 30th of June of the year they commence. 


Prep enrolment interviews commence in Term 2 each year. To make an appointment, please contact the office at (07) 4681 5111. 


Not sure if your child can start Prep next year? Please view the Department's prep ready reckoner calculator to determine when your child can commence their preparatory year. ​


Presentation of your child's birth certificate is a mandatory requirement
.
Children can not be enrolled or commence prep if our staff have not sighted an original of their birth certificate.
