Hello,
Welcome to Stanthorpe State School. Our school is a co-educational school catering for children prior to preparatory through to Year 6.
Our prior to preparatory program supports families who have a child with a disability, this is known as the
Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP). You can find more information about this program within the
student services and support programs tab under
support and resources.
Another area of interest is the Stanthorpe State School Positive Behaviour for Learning framework (including Berry Street Education Model). This framework supports children to engage with positive and appropriate behaviours necessary for learning, based on trauma informed practices.
Our staff understand and appreciate that each and every child brings to school a diverse range of understandings, skills and experiences that help shape and develop their future.
All children at our school are encouraged to explore the many and varied areas of interest being offered at Stanthorpe State School including, but not limited to sporting, cultural, artistic and academic pursuits. Participation across these areas of interest are provided at a school, district and regional level.
I know that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you make as a parent, one that influences and impacts on your child’s future. I look forward to discussing this with you.
Yours in education,
Mrs Christine Williamson
Acting Principal
