Road safety

Using the Pedestrian Crossings

We have three supervised crossings (operating before and after school). By law you must use these crossings under the supervision of the school crossing supervisors. For the safety of all students we ask that parents obey the road rules and show the children the correct procedures when crossing ‘safely’.

Parking Around our School

Our school has a 'drop-off' zone directly in front of school on Marsh Street, for speedy drop-offs and pickups. We ask parents to help keep the 'drop-off' zone free moving, by not parking there, remaining in their vehicles, and observing the 5 minute limit.

Parking in school grounds is prohibited, i.e. the staff carpark.  Please also ensure your respect our neighbours and the safety of all arriving at school by observing driveways, crossings and bus zones. We do report breaches of safety and parking to the local police in the interests of the safety of all at our school.

Riding to School

Riding bicycles and scooters is a popular way to arrive at school. We constantly remind children of the need to wear an approved safety helmet, and to observe the road rules. Students are required to walk their scooters and bikes through the school as well as on the footpaths that border the school i.e. Harris St, Marsh St and Connor Street.
